Chris B123
I have a DT10 with 30inch barrels, I have had the stock altered to fit me so I dont want to change guns, but after trying a 32inch I find it swings better. So is it possible for me to buy a 32inch model and change barrels when I want?. Thanks Chris.
HDAV
only issue i can see is serial numbers perhaps contact Browning UK or local dealer and ask, would super extended chokes fit the bill? cheaper than a new barrel!
fluke2
My mate and I both have a 686e his 28" and mine 30" we tried the barrels last year and his were very tight in my action and hard to close so we didnt push it,you would probably need a gunsmith to check properly before trying yourself just to swap them around. timps
The Beretta DT10 is hand finished and not modular like the Blaser for instance, so chances are you would need some modifications to the barrels, action or forend for them to fit properly. The most common problem would be the timing of the ejectors. You might get lucky but I very much doubt it. Once any mods were done there then would be a problem fitting them back to the original action. Swapping the stock over from gun to gun may be an easier alternative as the wood is flexible and more likely to accommodate any differences between the two actions and only requires 2 screws and an Allen bolt to remove however even that might need some work. louis682
I enquired about barrel swapping at a local gun shop and was told that the gun has to go back to italy and costs a third of the gun price! Also tried swapping Barrels with my mates 32" and the cross bolt sticks out a bit, so its not just a case of swapping.
