Lez325
I answered a request for some Pigeon Shooting & tuition from Adam on this forum as he had no real experience on Hides decoying etc we met at my house around 7am this morning and set off to locate the bad boys- after two failed attempts ( owing to no wind and no woodies- we had a break and went over to Avalon guns to purchase some 17 HMR ammo and a slab of 12 bore carts No6 x 30's after me spending almost £200 in the rfd's we set off to shoot again on our return to the shooting area- I decided to change the location and opted for a large cut wheat stubble area- we set up with the very brisk wind to our backs and stuck out a line or two of silosocks and a Bouncer-- good result after some initial coaching from me - Adam soon got into the swing of nailing woodies as at first he was up over ther net like a greyhound- I asked him to take his time and move slowly to good effect- shot 20 between us in just over an hour recovered 12 seen here with a delighted Adam- who will no doubt put them to good use Nice to have met you Adam and I hope the woodies taste as good as you hoped- well done mate- see you again soon for the 2nd lesson! snowz
well done its brilliant that someone is willing to take others out and teach them what they can. I have been taken out by a few people off these forums and they have all taught me a thing all too, i think it would of been hard work learning on your own else. i am real good friends with a few of them now across the country and shoot regularly on there land and also on mine, thats what these forums are all about, learning more about our sport, teaching others and meeting new friends/shooters atb Richard

adam f
Well first off - THANK YOU LES!! Les is a lovely chap, and I'm soooo appreciative of a day out. He is about an hour for me so not too bad. Ive got a couple of rabbit perms, but Ive been struggling for Piddies, and as a result havent been out more than a handful of times with my new shottie. I learnt more from Les today that i have done in 4 trips out alone. Plus I left with a sample permisson letter, shooting cards and a stack of DVD's! My little bag of home grown veg didnt seem enough to say thanks! Anyway - the shooting - I didnt get that many shots off... Les was onto some of the more distant birds before I was confident to, so I only got 10 carts away - but for 5 piddies, that is by far my best kill ratio so far. Some of Les's shots give me something to aspire to... truely 'gymnastic'! Thanks again mate - look forward to doing it again sometime.
