Sweenytodd
Hi folks new to these forums so please go easy !! Also please forgive any bad spelling or grammar as I am dyslexic , thanks . I have been offered a Theoben MFR FAC .22 . I think it is the first model in this range as it doesn't say mrk11 etc on it ? It comes with scopes 3-9x40 ( can't remember the make sorry ) and it is threaded on the end of the barrel for a silencer and one will be added before I take the gun . I would like to know please roughly how much I should be paying for this ?? Gun is in good condition . Thanks for any replies Edited August 27, 2010 by Sweenytodd

Don't know if all the valves and seals etc are ok on it . I want him to fire it and test with one of them "thingys" to see what the ft/lbs is . Should be around 28 ft/lbs in .22 yes

bullet boy
Yes make sure it's all working properly before parting with any cash.Make sure like you said all seals are good and the gun has no leaks!
Sweenytodd
This is coming from a gun dealer , I assume he would/should have some sort of equipment for doing some tests and taking readings I don't know anything about PCP guns to be very honest with you as the last air gun I owned was a HW35 some time back . Any advice on how to and what to look out for ?? I know about having good seals etc.. but how to I check and know about all that ?? Is it a big/expensive job to put new parts like valves and seals on a gun ?? So if everything is OK with said gun then the 600 euro is a fair enough price Sorry for all the questions like but I just want to make sure I get this right ............................... If the gun is in good working order and in overall good nick then in my opinion it is a fair price. Make sure you have some sort of warranty if buying from a Gunshop though. Elm0
FAC MFR .22 Shots 12ft/lbs 300 28ft/lbs 60 That is what it is set at when it leaves theoben rough guide for you get it crono'd in shop before you buy agreed fac loose money very quicly depends on what you want gun for if its hunting personally i would look at a mk1 or mk2 better value for money and a lot more choice in the second hand market also higher shot count per fill and .22 up to 40ft/lbs, the MFR leans more towards a target gun Good luck with purchase tho price seems fair & you will not be disapointed with any theoben you buy great gun
