yickdaz Posted August 28, 2010 Report Share Posted August 28, 2010 just a pic of a ringed woodpigeon 2nd one shot this year from same place.. i shot one end of june sent that ring off to natural history museum for info on the bird no reply yet.. and the 2nd one is the pic... that came from the 70 bag i have posted today 28th aug. yickdaz Posted August 29, 2010 Author Report Share Posted August 29, 2010 i dont think it is a racer tag, the are normally smaller, coloured and have a series of letter on them, i have some hanging about somewhere no bud not a racer tag not daft enough to shoot a racer then post a pic of it ..its the 2nd woodie in 2 months from same area it could be from the same brood i will get the info from british natural history museum who ring the birds when in the nest;had a few crows years ago with rings on em;and the info you get back is were and when bird was tagged and how many was in the brood at the time.
