choke threads

This has been debated before on here with the usual range of opinions, which varied from "no problem" (american clay shooters do it all the time) to "definitely not" (it will definitely explode and kill you and everyone within a 1 mile radius).

 

Personally, whether it actually dangerous or not, common sense suggests that I wouldn't do it with any gun of mine regardless of what anyone else on an internet forum says they do.

Using a shotgun without a choke fitted is likely to end in tears, perhaps an idea would be to invest in a choke you want!

What value do you put or yourself, or the person standing next to you? What value do you put on your barrels?

 

The decision is yours of course, but the barrel is thinner and weaker here and the potential for gun damage or personal harm is not worth the price of a choke in my view!
