bullet1747
if you take the choke out of a shot gun and shoot will it ruin the threads at the end of the barrel the choke screws into, reason i ask the gun has 1/4 choke in but came without the others
Dekers
Using a shotgun without a choke fitted is likely to end in tears, perhaps an idea would be to invest in a choke you want! Readily available on the whole!
HW682
This has been debated before on here with the usual range of opinions, which varied from "no problem" (american clay shooters do it all the time) to "definitely not" (it will definitely explode and kill you and everyone within a 1 mile radius). Personally, whether it actually dangerous or not, common sense suggests that I wouldn't do it with any gun of mine regardless of what anyone else on an internet forum says they do. Guest cookoff013
thats what the cyl choke is for. protecting the thread. cyl is no restriction, ie 0.000" ps, use grease too.

Dekers
Using a shotgun without a choke fitted is likely to end in tears, perhaps an idea would be to invest in a choke you want! Readily available on the whole! going to buy a set next week ,but y will it end in tears What value do you put or yourself, or the person standing next to you? What value do you put on your barrels? The decision is yours of course, but the barrel is thinner and weaker here and the potential for gun damage or personal harm is not worth the price of a choke in my view! ATB!!
