steve_b_wales
I have some black flock that I am going to use to cover my crow decoys. I tried doing one yesterday, using PVA glue, but the glue is showing through. Is there any other glue I can use? Cheers Steve.
Stour-boy
Steve have flocked my pigeon decoys the shiny plastic ones ,I used an aerosol varnish spray over the decoy and then borrowed the wifes kitchen flour sieve and shook the flocking over the decoy .the flocking then stiicks to the varnish if you get patches then just revarnish that area and shake the sieve over it .Works for me. Stour-boy
MM, googlle (warhammer modeling flock) tells you how to make it from fine sawdust albeit it is geen, but the same principle can be used with a different colour as it is expensiveto buy. Did try with material in a coffee grinder thinking I could chop it up very fine but that didnt work. anyway good luck if you try to make it perhaps someone on PW has done it. Steve hi there just bought my glue with the flocking kit it says u can flock ten crows but if u only do the top half of the deeks what birds can see from above u should do double that easy just glue two or three at a time or it will dry to quick failing that just stretch black towelling socks over them works just as well but cut hole out for the head atb dolphin

steve_b_wales
PVA glue WILL work, but you may have to flock them twice
