covey
Hi all, I need some advice on how to clip the nails on our 2 ferrets and is there anything i can put in the court to help keep their nails. Cheers covey
steve0146
Mine have a concrete run and they still need clipping once in a while. Just clip them back just before the pink bit in the nail. I put a beaten egg in a saucer. While they are distracted, I clip away.
stubby
its easier as a two person job, get some proper nail cutters for small animals, then snip away, normally only takes a few secs each ferret. if you have no joy getting cutters or a helper, and can get over to mine in essex, Ill do them/help you

Bigbob
I wouldn't bother clipping there nails now unless there really bad they will be out grafting soon and they might need them and they will be able to wear them down wandering about .In the meantime put a brick in with them . gavaroo
I am totally baffled by this. Have had ferrets for about 10 years and never had to cut their nails. They do have a very large run though. What is the issue, are their nails just long or growing in badly?
