jayscott
Hi all, Just been doing my yearly start of season shop for the upcoming winter, after using several kinds of boots over the years from Le Chameau to La Crosse i decided a change this year. Ended up going for a pair of Crispi Steg boots, a new one to my local shop me being the first customer for them I'm really pleased with them, the double tongue seems hardwearing and they provide god ankle support. Only flaw i can see is you cant exactly throw them on takes a minute to do up the double laces. Cost around the same price as the Le Chameau equivilent and as far as i can see just as good, highly reccomended Jay

throbbingfinger
I bought some Le Chemeau Mouuflon Plus a couple of years ago. cost me an arm and a leg but well worth it. Ive looked after them, washed and cleaned them after every session. Keep my feet warm and dry when its cold and wet and cool and comly when its warmer with the right sock choice. But i agree with the pain in the butt of doing them up, popping in to the house to get something you've forgotten can be a right pain. Cosd
I've just started using a good pair of Timberland boots, though the weather hasn't been cold to test the warmth, the comfort compared to wellingtons is so much better. In all honesty I have never worn a really good pair of wellingtons, but I just can't see how they can b as comfortable when pigeon shooting. Kneeling down and getting off the floor for example really isn't that comfy wearing longer boots. Very premature I know but so far the Timberlands are 10 out of 10 for me. The cold weather will be the test
