  1. Benelli 828 ? with 26in, is 6.5lbs ..... google numbers. I picked one up and felt very light. But look into your rehab, and physio more ? Shoulders take time as you know, delicate ******* really
  2. Hey All..... Clay Shooter only, but I have Benelli Super Sport that I wouldn't sell. Its my third Benelli... had a Comfortec as my first SA just to have one and soon upgraded to the Supersport. Then in a moment of madness did a Trade with it ..... had to then bust the bank to go get another a few months later hence the, wouldn't sell..... knew it was a mistake as soon as I let it go. Also very recently bought a Beretta A400 Xcel to go with the collection that has yet to go out for its debut. But, I am looking for someone who imports Briley Bolts and Bolt Release as I want them in Silver and the action is black so the contrast would be nice. Plus the bolt isn't the most attractive .... Can someone recommend an Importer, Supplier or another manufacture of that produce something of similar ? Tinter Web isn't being very helpful at the moment.
  3. Let me know next time fella and if free I would happily tag along Its a bit like going back to work as work down that way but its an option Be nice to get out Kidderminster, Redditch as more local to me
  4. I am trying to get away from always shooting there hence the need to spread my wings which I will do over next couple of weeks. Darren, I am in Halesowen down the road - not tried Forhill to be honest but have found it on the internet and is well placed in terms of location. Yes, I have shot there once a good while back, nice setting there....
  5. Cheers guys, will message you my details... Went round Shugborough twice today, lazy, silly mistakes So need some fresh targets to imprimprove. Looking to shoot more to Redditch, Kidderminster way too if any others interested
  6. Hi Kenholland. Yes I know those, and others but looking for someone, people to regularly shoot with like I have at Oakedge.... I have been having to ask non shooting friends to trap, on a Sunday they mostly want a lie in :-)
  7. Breaking a new gun in, well that's my reason along with I need more practise... Of course, but the guys I shoot with at Oakedge are local to the ground and I'm from Halesowen , near to Stourbridge/ Dudley. So, I'm looking for somewhere local ish to shoot tomorrow but need a ground that has Trappers ( like Oakedge ) as running out of favours of dragging friends - non shooters, out on a Sunday morning to trap for me. So, ideas ? Have posted in "meets" section for local shooting buddies too
  8. Sporting Clay Shooting Buddy/ Buddies required, West Midlands. Having been shooting a while, over five years and now reached a plateau, I need to shoot a variation of shooting grounds, layouts. Shoot mostly at Oakedge, Shugbrough on weekends due to onsite trappers and several shooting buddies there already. But, my shooting buddies there don't wish to travel to shoot.. Sadly I know next to none local to me I know who shoot regularly, and have to try to find friends willing to get up early on a weekend, mostly Sunday's to come and trap for me. I am from Halesowen, which is near Stourbridge/ Dudley area. I commute a lot for work so closer the better but happy to travel ( as do travel to Oakedge )
  9. Great then, I would have no chance if it is worse than Cannon's... the car isn't keen even on my driveway
  10. Just to be clear all, I was making reference to Romsley - never been to Hodnet
  11. Only been there a couple of times, friendly bunch but access and parking isn't great for my tart of a car
  12. Still loving my Benelli Supersport..... 1/4 choke which when used on the pattern board the shot pattern was tighter than my OU with a 1/4.... I have never changed the choke since.
  13. Shoot the Tiger and the Snake then just beat the Utd Fan with the empty gun
  14. Would your dad be happy to drive to Shugborough? Not to far from Wolverhampton (Stafford junction 13 M6), I drive there from Halesowen most weeks - they have trappers who mark your card for you, lovely place to go and I have always found it friendly and easy going.
  15. Benelli Supersport - fantastic gun Couldn't recommend one enough to people only downside, they are expensive but quality isn't cheap. So much so I am considering selling my O/U Beretta 686 Gold E as it never get's used anymore but thats another issue....
  16. Update: Shot Shugborough this morning and did 34-50 and even though the score isn't fantastic found I really enjoyed my shooting again as it was more about the challenge of what was presented rather than thinking of what I was doing wrong with stance, mount what I should do etc, as when I missed today I knew why....except my nemesis was on one stand and ruined my card otherwise I would have been on for my top score as it then for awhile shook the shaky confidence i was beginning to build... A going away and driven bird.......a driven that goes over my head I have no issue, but this was dropping around 25yd short from the cage. From 8 I hit a miserable 3......and only the going away bird. But all in, a much better morning given recent times
  17. if was 30 inch barrels I would be sooooooooooooooo tempted
  18. Price for the Gamebore Black and White Carts? Just bought a 1000 but at right price I could have a look down the back of the sofa for some pennies
  19. Speak to James or Brett at Brierley Guns (they do a Laser Fit System also) Just by Merry Hell, Oooops sorry Merry Hill.
  20. Well thought I should give a quick update and thank all for posting, making positive comments. I spoke to the coach whom I had my session with and we discussed what I thought was happening, we then discussed through the points we had been through on the day. Then, I arranged to go to Shugborough on Friday morning and shoot 100 bird. I had the whole place to myself, took my time before each stand, thought about what had been discussed before going onto the stand. I mentally rehearsed what I wanted to do, as I wanted to try a few different things to see how they affected me. It was nice to be able to relax and try certain things. By the end of it, whilst I hadn't hit more or less than I am currently I felt I had found somewhat more out about what is going on with my shooting. I then went and spoke to the coach again and discussed my findings and it appears now, that in trying to implement the changes I was over compensating what I was trying to do, so the minor changes the coach had tried to make I was making major. So I followed up by going again on Saturday morning and doing the 50 bird and I managed 33-50. Whilst the score isn't superb I did nearly clear two stands. For some reason I have lost the way on shooting the rabbit or the score would have been a lot better. But all said, I am much happier now
  21. Also for note, i have kept the same gun (even though between the two I used to shoot pretty much the same I just prefer the Benelli) as I also have kept same carts and stayed at the same two grounds for the time being. There are no particular targets I seem to struggle with more than most, as one week it can be a low to high going away, then a low left to right or right to left but then next I am nailing them and missing something else. Thinking of investing a slab of carts and just going to ground for the day and banging away......
  22. Yes, sorry I should have stated it is shooting sporting......
  23. As a brief history, have been shooting just over a year and really enjoy it. Had some lessons along the way too, but generally picked the gun up and had a go. Shoot most weekends and in general really enjoy it. I shoot two grounds consistently at the moment whilst I work on what I see as a current problem. I have been shooting Cross Guns in Kinver and Shugborough. My scores would have been circa high thirties at both, so had another coaching session to try to break the forty zone. Coach I used I have used before and I have trust, respect. However, since my coaching session I have lost the plot. I appear to be over thinking everything, about what I might be doing wrong so much so, by then missed. So I gathered it was the over thinking, now I think I am underthinking, in other words it is now all over the place. On a stand I almost clear it or just about get one or two. I think the answer would to be find somewhere, that I can afford to just blast away a slab of carts and try to relax with it all again, but thats an expensive thing to do as would have to do it in the week too... Gun fit and mount I am happy with , but purely think it is a "head" thing, but the Wheels have well and truly fell off my wagon and wondered if others have had this too? Was hoping this year to begin doing registered shoots as want to not only enjoy the sport but be good at it too.....wish I had never had the coaching now as feel I would have got there on my own just gaining more experience.
