Axel
PLEASE SEE NEW TOPIC BY ME, DEFENDER OR FOURTRACK?, posted 26/1/06 Wanted; an older but sound Fourtrack ie pre-93. I dont need coil springs, elec windows, elec lights to tell me whats happening etc; just a sound, clean, smoke-free Fourtrack. Yes, I'm also trying Auto-Trader but if any P.W. surfer's got one that's surplus to requirments, do let me know. Cheers & good shooting, Axel. old rooster
Thought you'd bought one mate ;-)) Be careful of the older leaf spring models, I've had both and the coil spring ones are better. Look for rust at the bottom of the windscreen and outer sills.

Look for rust at the bottom of the windscreen and outer sills. Yes, so did I but it fell through. Hear what you say about the suspension, ditto the rust areas, which I have noticed on even newer Fourtracks. I thought a pre-93 might suit me better as I have no need of elec windows, elec 4-wheel drive switches etc etc. I prefer things a bit simpler, like my old Series 3 Landy which I would still have but got tired of spending money on. Cheers, Axel. Edited January 20, 2006 by Axel
