Went to Bakerboys permission whilst he is on holiday (we agreed it before hand!), put the deeks out and low and behold, shooting over goats.

Then went for a drive around a permission i managed to get on saturday (hopefully next door is coming soon as well) and saw this (**** blackberry phone camera, they're wild pheasant poults). The farmer is very proud of them!!

Hi Alistair

Glad you had good day and congratulations with the new permission.

I find it is best to have the goats where you can see them, they trashed my car the day before I went on holiday, standing on top and generally running over it, had to push a large dent out of the roof before being able to drive home.

Hopefully the offending herd has now to gone to market.

See you soon

Ouch, sounds expensive. The pigeons seemed happy to come over and less observant when the goats were around, almost as if the goats movement made them less nervous.

Hope you had a nice holiday, i'll sort out the new perm (still studying flight lines etc, hope to get the one next door as well because the 2 sitty trees are right in the middle of his field) and get you up for a go.

I'd have had goat curry if they'd done that to my car :hmm:

Hi Alistair

Yes I am looking forward to a day with you, Plenty of pigeons around at the moment, managed a dozen yesterday with Adrian" ajwwoodward" and 15 today, but only 12 picked up with Tim "timearp" and still plenty to go at on the flightline across the field.

The alf alfa will be cropped in the next week or so, that should bring in some interesting shooting, I will keep you in the picture.

How was the Wine? and did the drop stops work? tonignt I will be giving the bottles a bash whilst sitting in the garden around the fire, beats the Villa in Spain everytime, don't know why I keep on going there, but it looks like I might be off again to help the wife recover from her knee replacement operation, thats what you get for living with a pensioner.

Cheers

Terry
