cylinder head issues are the big problem on 2003-5 trucks. Its not a massive issue as new heads are cheap but expect 1K fitted if its a problem, other than that most things are simple to fix and they are pretty reliable. Personally I've an older one but I'd try and get a new shape 2006 if possible, economy is better and they have a 4wd system that you can run on the road with which makes them a bit better in icy and slippery conditions than the older ones that wind up if its not slippery enough.

Anybody know what to look out for with buying a second hand L200 year approx 2005-2006.

Is the milage a big consideration, ie should I avoid anything with higher than average milage?

Thanks

Adrian

Look out for a O/S rear halfshaft, i need one for my 2004 L200.... LOL

as above post watch out for head damage, easy way to check is let it warm up and take the radiator cap off (before it gets to hot) if the water volcanos out, walk away.... :good:
