wymberley
After 20 years my home made cradles (welding rod and brake pipe) have passed their sell-by date. My shooting oppo got some from our sponsor but to be honest they looked as though they were designed for ostrich shooting and he hasn't used them. Just had a play and turned them into an ideal bit of kit. If anyone is after some and can use a hacksaw, drill and file (or grindstone if available) and is happy to buy the pig's ears, PM me and I'll give the details for the silk purse. The Essex Hunter
Good to here, half the problem is, people just like to swipe the card. There is a lot of **** peddled by people on here, with such quotes as " I use them they are great" The thing is, that most of the stuff is made in the far east and like i have said before, why import it when we could make it here, so what if it costs a bit more! Sorry to say but the great in Great Britain is being given away by people who do not care! TEH
Cranfield
I have bought many dead bird cradles and they all seem to be exactly the same design, including size. Its my understanding from the people I have bought from, they are made in the UK, probably all by the same people/company. As they come they are ideal for crows and rooks IMO , but I usually shorten the neck spike and the ground spike for pigeons.
The Essex Hunter
Well "Talk about that new gadget you have got which promises the earth but does it live up to its reputation" Seems about right! I am sure if you brought somthing from any other retail outlet it would be going back! It would be nice if they got it right in the first place, rather than have the punter fix it....... If somthing is made badly it is, you will just have to live with it. TEH
