Colster
Happened to see one of these in use (the in-car one) the other night when I met up with the lads that shoot foxes on one of my permissions and was quite impressed. For about half the price of a Lightforce any nasty surprises I should be aware of before buying one?
Colster
Any thoughts guys?... Come on stop turning those "What scope for my HMR?" into a 4 page non-topic Bit confused as to why it quotes the range as 400yards with 3.5 million candlepower while Cluson reckon their half a mill Clubman will do 500yards. Want it for lamping rabbits from a 4x4 so I think probably 400yards is enough anyway but any tips will be much appreciated.
Dave-G
It sounds good stuff mate - but I reckon it's only a very recently introduced item that hasn't been tried by many yet. Your thread is the first I knew of them. I'd be painting or covering the wrapped round edges of the red filter in black duct tape though as you will almost certainly get a red glare back into your night adjusted eyes. Let us know how it goes if you get one please?
clueless1
A mate of mine uses one and recons it's easily up to the job. Been thinking of one myself on his recommendation. Only seen it light up the village street but was pretty impressed.

Let us know how it goes if you get one please? Well, I took the plunge and bought one on eBay (shade under £45 posted), very impressed. A slightly tighter beam than mate's Clulite Clubman but more than bright enough to find bunnies. You were right though, it does need a quick bit of leccy tape around the edge of the filter but a bargain for the price. McF
Ive been using one of these for about 6 months, without the filter it will light up further than you can shoot, with the filter it will do a good 300 yards, picks out fox and rabbit no problem, it does give you a glare back with the filter on, to combat this I hold it slightly higher than my eye level. I paid £33 for mine so shop around, overall good lamp.
