New 22 Hornet Bolt Action Single Shot

Why a single shot rather than mag fed? You could always order yourself a Calhoon single shot adaptor? They slot into the mag well instead of the magazine and I had one fitted to my Ackley.

Just get a CZ, one of them and a Timney trigger - it will be as accurate as anything else you'll find and for a few quid a gunsmith can really work wonders on the smoothness of the bolt. My Ackley was on a CZ action and it was one of the smoothest guns I've ever used - but then it was made my Callum Fergusson and he is very good!

Nice one, mate. I admit I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about; never heard of it, still as they say, there's nothing new under the sun. But I'm going to find out pretty damned quick!

I can't now remember who it was but about 9 months ago I had a good chat with another member (my mate decided to take no further action, but he might now) about Hornet chamber/magazine/cartridge lengths. This little ***-bit may just interest him (apologies for memory loss) as well.

Many thanks,

Phil

Edit: ***, just how PC can you get?

Without wishing to hijack the thread, what can a gunsmith do to the bolt? interested to find out :good:

I have no idea but my Ackley Hornet was based on a CZ527 and had an action that was much nicer to use than the likes of Sako, Manlicher etc. That's not something that happened by luck - I've had a lot of CZs and they're all as rough as a Badgers *** to cycle!
