wildfowler.250
Hi, I'm looking to pick up some crow decoys at the moment, (about 6). I have two of the full body ones, (somewhere ) and they worked well enough but I was wondering what you guys found the best? I was going to order some silosocks from ukshoot warehouse and although they weigh virtually nothing, the postage was a fortune! So basically what do you guys use and where do you buy from? Sometimes I freeze dead ones but it's just a bit awkward! Cheers B)

steve_b_wales
I use about 20 decoys in my pattern. Flock ones are good, but not necessary. I also use dead ones that I have frozen from previous shoots, and these are obviously much better. To help bring in the crows, I use a Primos Power Crow call (£9.99) approx, and also a motorised flapper with crow attached. This combination has always worked for me. wildfowler.250
Thanks for that Normally I can notch up a decent bag pretty quickly with 2 decoys but it really picks up once I put a real bird down in the pattern,(could be that 3 is better than 2 although I think its just because the genuine deal is more attractive to the other corvids). So my thinking was that half a dozen decoys would bring the first few birds in quicker to add to the pattern. Do you get yours online by any chance? I was thinking about buying the FUDs but not heard many reviews on them? ATB Edited September 30, 2010 by CZ452

Bluebarrels
As steveb has already said, full bodied, flocked not necessary, and a dead bird on a motorised flapper and sometimes two dead birds on a rotary/magnet BB
