Driven pheasant + partridge + duck

Recommended Posts

If anyone is up for it there is a couple of spare places on our shoot on sat the 13th november for a spot of driven shooting. The day will consist of mixed, mainly pheasant but will include partridge and some duck hopefully and the odd snipe.

It will be a 60 bird day or there abouts and will include breakfast(full english) drinks during the day and lunch at the farm. You will get a couple of brace of birds to take away and the cost for the day will be £190 (this includes tips, food, drink etc)

I would just like to state i am not making 1 penny out of this and ALL money will be payed direct to the Farmer who owns the shoot on the day(so no snipers saying "another 1 trying to cash in")

cheers.

Don't take the other post he wrong way BB this sounds genuine and a good price, you've been arround ages and this is a little different from simple money making offers. Had I not been shooting this weekend in Barnard castle i'd have probably jumped at it

Wasnt having a dig at you Alex,on the contrary i agree with most of what you said. There is people trying to flog shooting that they are not involved with and just trying to make money out of it.I thought i would just state i aint one of them.

cheers.

PS you would still have a whole 2 weeks to save up :good:

The shoot is about 30 mins drive from newcastle airport and is in south Northumberland. We had our first day on sat and 496 shots were fired for 93 birds. The new cover crops went extremely well and produced high pheasant and partridge. The only reason there is a couple of places is 2 lads let me down at last minute. We only let 2 days and i took 1 of them so i either find 2 more to make up a team of 8 or it will be an expensive day shooting for only 6 guns.

Cheap B&B is available if someone needs it.

Thanks for the replies but just to clarify, this is Not a shoot where plus fours and a new Rangerover are compulsory. No one at our shoot stands on ceremony or is exempt from the pee taken out of them. All you would need is a gun, cartridges, some form of insurance BASC,CA etc and a sense of humor. As long as you have safety at the forefront of your mind when shooting then you will be welcome.

Posted this in response to a PM because i know it can be intimidating when you think of a steriotypical TV portrayed driven shoot.

cheers.

  • 3 weeks later...

An excellent day !

The birds flew well and a very good team of guns managed an average of 3/1,which was very good going considering the birds that were presented to them, high pheasant and partridge with fast ducks thrown in aswell.

The final bag was 67 and the guns were that impressed they booked up for next year
