so at the moment you're poaching and having a go at protected species cracking advert that for anyone letting you on their ground

I am sorry that you seem to have got the wrong end of the stick. I simply enjoy walking through the countryside with my dogs and obviously come across quite a bit of wildlife , there is not much you can do when a badger comes out of nowhere in the dark and try stopping a terrier chasing a rabbit in open countryside.

Sorry if I have offended anyone.

the reference about the badger will hardly get you many offers will it!!!!!!!!!!!!! :whistling:

I was merely demonstrating that the dog is quite feisty and would make a good ratter, I certainly didn't set out to attack a badger. We stumbled across it while walking home across some allotments and it had disappeared within seconds.

taking rabbits on land without the owners permission, whether just running an out of control dog its the same thing, may only be rabbits but they are someone elses unless on your ground.

Best option for you is a bit of door knocking but just leave out the Badger bit

I normally wouldent reply to this type of post, but anything that could end up it court, you couldent use the excuse "I did'nt know" or "it was'ent my fault" therefore if walking dogs that are not trained to come to the heel command, they should be on a lead, to stop any serious injury to wildlife, legal pests or otherwise

Ok point taken, wish I had never posted , will take more care not to lose control of dogs when walking them in the dark.

I was'ent trying to put you down, trust me, Ive been shot down in flames a few times on here too, just learn from mistakes, as a pestie Im constantly seeing items brought up in publications where the person is quoting my above quotes, and the law don't take it as an acceptable excuse,

Geo,

I admire you honesty and that you have been man enough to apologise for a slip.

I hope you find some shooting soon, but in the meantime take up Al4x's suggestion and get some beating in your local area. Please do not be put off, I am sure we would all like to hear when you have been succesful, and EVERYONE has a contribution to make.
