sitsinhedges
Went shooting today and was doing well but then I had one stand where I just couldn't connect with the damn clays. I tried more and more lead and allowing for rise with one clay and drop with the other. managed to get a couple of hits in maybe 20 shots but even then couldn't repeat it. Is there a method for 'finding' the clays other than what I have tried already They were quite distant crossers, one quite loopy and one rising into the wind. Always seem to have trouble on this stand whatever the birds are
CZ550Kevlar
I find it is a case of practice and have someone with you watching where your shot pattern goes in relation to the clay, that way you can find a comfortable spot to hit the target. Always seem to have trouble on this stand whatever the birds are I had the same problem last week until I had a lesson. For me it turns out it wasn't really about the lead more about my foot position, where I was taking the shot and being unbalanced. By the end of the lesson I was hitting 70% from 45 yards (which for me was a miracle). Try Geoff at Northampton Shooting Ground, he'll sort you out I'm sure
