dooseydog
I wonder if any forum member can help!! Apart from the colouring is there any major difference / advantage to buying and owning a Flanigan SX3 as opposed to a normal SX3.Does anybody think the Flanigan model will be discontinued now he has moved to Mossberg I am a novice (very) clay shooter and want to own a semi, weight is a big issue to me for a variety of boring reasons , seems SX3 fits the criteria I have ie cost, weight but wondering what long term ownership is like with one of these guns Thank you for any help / advice you can give Regards James
HDAV
Apart from the red bits and red case i think it's a SX3 composite for the same money you can have the Frachi Fast Pro or a Benelli, Berretta I would say see what fits best, the Franchi is lighter than the SX3, have seen some mention of the SX3 being in short supply but that may just be marketing hype not read anything about it being a limited production model

Kudu
As far as I know the Flanigan comes with two gas pistons for light/heavy cart's, plus it has extended chokes as standard. And all the red bits.
mickmep
chamber length varies dependant on which model, flanigan is not 31/2 inch chamber. flanigan comes with extended briley signature chokes, which are easier to change if your a choke twiddler. does come with 2 gas pistans as said before. as i've said before theres a lot of plastic bits compared to a beretta semi auto. very nice gun though, you need to handle one to see if you like the feel of it. not compared to another sx3 but compared to a beretta. if you shoot more clays than game i'd go for the flanigan, if not i'd go 31/2" composite sx3. value for money wise theres not a lot to touch them, in my opinion. there have been a few reports of broken gas valve springs, but this may be one of those things that 3 people have had and gets blown up out of all proportion, also theres a guy selling uprated springs on the net for around a tenner. love mine and cant see me ever selling it, and not had a single missfeed with it. poorpeet
I'll second the Franchi Raptor. All the important bits are Bennelli/Beretta made and it's lighter than the new Beretta A400. I think Retromlc was daft to buy the A400 but it means there's a year old Raptor that had no more than a couple of hundred carts through it going for a song. And it's just down the road from you.
