Shootingman
When cleaning cases in ultra snic cleaner, I've been using a 50/50 mix of water/white vinegar, will water/brown vinegar work coz white vinegar is £1.89 litre & pickling vinegar is £1 for 5 litres. mjj160
Yes the brown malt vinegar works just as well, buy mine from sainsburys at 13p for 500ml. Mike
Beardo
make sure the pickling vinegar isn't pre-seasoned though, some of them are!

Redgum
I use 20% brown vinegar and a spot of washing up liquid and find it works well on 480 secs, knicked some of the wifes posh white pickling vinegar once, god knows what was in it but it really etched the cases, had to get the brasso out after. :o
robbobsam
I use one of these >>>My Ultrasonic Cleaner I use neat brown cheap and nasty vinegar from Morrisons and it cost 15p per bottle. IT WORKS GREAT !!! My cases look new after using it. I rinse with warm soapy water afterwards and dry in oven at 80 degrees. Check this article out >>>Ultrasonic cleaning article. If you keep the cases submerged in the vinegar they will not etch. I made the same mistake on some Norma cases. They left a mark at the fluid level line across all the cases that were not quite submerged. I like you had to polish the line off, I used fine wire wool though.
