peek-at
Hi, I shoot rabbits with .22 rifle with rimmy & FAC PCP but have never bothered shooting through the winter months Just wondering If anyone does continue shooting Rabbits through the winter and whether they are just as abunadant or if they stay in (with the fire on like me lol) Do your stalking tactics change as there is less cover (and maybe snow against which you stand out) Interested in your experiences cheers shaun

malkiserow
Can be hard when the ground is frosty (Crunchy and noisey)and the air is still so they can hear a footstep 500 yards away! The white ground makes it all much brighter and easier for them to see movement and your face. But generally still worth it. Shot a couple first thing today on my way out to go pigeon shooting. kevinbird
what you need is , thick socks, warm coat, gloves, hat and scarf check out your area in the daytime and then go back to the place where there is plenty of foot prints about four oclock in the evening and wait in the bottom of the hedge rows. its cold but you will get results
