billytheghillie
Thinking of buying a small portable clay trap. Been looking at one from GDK Trading (just google it) on the website for £45. Question is anybody use them or have had any experience with them.I saw ones on flee-bay for £25 but i dont think they will be up to much. Your comments are most welcome. utectok
I had a cheap £30 one for a bit needed bolting to a wheel and adapted it abit to toughen it up put about 3000 clays through it and it was ok! Mind I have a promatic now ( ring then they have special deals at christmas). If I did it again I'd get a promatic super hawk from the start (I have an elite but it takes some hammering and the hawk is probably better for hard usage.) crazyfarmerboy
I started off with a cheepy ebay one, bolt onto tyre job, put about 1000 clays through it, bit of strengthening and new bolts, but got a bowman no3 now, which is absolutely fantastic, alot nicer to use, and alot of extra flexability with tagets, I would go for an old bowman off ebay if looking for a cheap one,
theprofessor
We bought a small one which is good quality (Stewart Clay Traps) but the hassle is mounting it. With hindsight I would pay a bit more and get something with a stand / seat built in. You get what you pay for and I would suggest parting with a bit more of your hard earned for something decent. Swamp Beast
ive a cheap one (mole valley farmers); bolt to a wheel. To be honest it doesnt throw them far enough and is a bit flimsy. Id look for a 2nd hand one of better quality
