stubby
dont mind paying or giving somone a drink to point me in the right direction I know it gets said time and time again, but go knocking on doors, Im a fulltime pest controller, you'd think we'd get permission easy, yes, but only to a degree, the last 4yrs Ive had ferreting permission coming out of my ear holes, but only one very, very small shooting permission thats an hours drive away I always relied on invites out by friends to there shoots, until this year when myself and shooting partner aquired rabbit lamping permission, once we had proved ourselves ok with the landowner, pigeon permission followed, theres nothing like being able to grab your gear and get out, rather than waiting for invites

silver pigeon 3
Hi, I live in Gloucestershire aswell and it is difficult but not impossible to find land. Try the small farms as most of the large estates around this way are pretty closed door. Get yourself to some clay grounds on a regular basis and try to get to know people there as you may find some shooting that way. There is a estate in Quedgely/hardwicke area that you could pay an annual fee and they would allow you to shoot, i did look into it a few years back but found some permission soon after so never joined, sorry can't remember the details. above all just keep trying, hope you find some
