bigchap
i have a baikal s/b 12g sitting around doing nothing and wondered about converting it into a 'hushpower',i'm an accomplished engineer with access to a well equipped machine shop and have gallons of common sense but was wondering about the legalities.i have been told it will have to be sent to a proof house after conversion by one rfd and another has told me it will only need to be proofed if i'm going to resell it.who is right? The law states that you can work on your own gun, but it will take it out of proof and you need to be a RFD to convert guns for sale. Convert it then scrap it when it is of no further use and the proof rules will not apply. It's quite a simple thing to build for an engineer
