new to the flock
Hennry I have a friend...okay, okay...an aquantance who owns a small zoo. He gives me the casts from his male fallow deer. I do fine this type of antler softer than our whitetail, and that it does not etch as cleanly. It is fun to work with though. baikiel boy
NTTF , Thats realy nice, i have some antler similar to what you've etched on. Youve given me food for thought ! I wonder if acylic drawing inks various colours will take on the antler without " bleeding " into each other . Regards bb
henry d
Mrs.h d,is quite an acomplished artist and especially acrylics says that if you use the acrylics un-diluted the colours shouldn`t bleed. If they do wait til they dry before over-painting. She says you should always try on a scrap of antler first. NTTF - that is one well fed beast !
