HDAV
I have a browning 525 and am happy with the 325 and 425 predecessors, seen a gun advertised as a Citori. When googling Citori it takes me to the browning US site where they show vaious Citori 625 models Is Citori the general name for Miroku made Brownings? IS/was it a specific model? the dealer advertising the "citori" also advertises 525, and 425 models I have emailed and asked for more info but wont get a response till next week if ever (Not a great track record of responding to emails in general from RFD's) It doesn't help that there are no photos of the gun. fortune82
As far as Im aware Citori is the name given to Brownings in the USA ie a citori 525 etc. You can buy a Citori in this country which is basically a slightly lower grade 525. I lloked at one a few weeks ago and the engraving was a lot plainer than a 525 grade 1. Funnily enough though the citori stock was much more highly figured than the 525. Jim Sarakun
Mmmm, I think you may have the spelling wrong. Seems to me that there is an L missing there somewhere. Put an L after the C, and google that.. Edited December 18, 2010 by Jim Sarakun

Well, with the L after the C, there is a specific model for the UK, but NOT for Europe. The European version works fine every time. The UK version is faulty, and only works if you are rich. officerdibble777
I bought a new citori this year and there are a few differences between that and the 525.The citori is not back bore and does not have invector plus chokes nor does it come with a case, the engraving is a bit plainer but the woodwork is a better grade, mine is agrade 2.5 .A very good gun and can't fault it.In the U.S. citori is just a general name for all Browning o/u guns john

Mine being a factory LH makes it slightly more odd as there are fewer choices in LH. Hope i can find out what this "citori" i have seen advertised is hopefully the date will make it clear.
