leeds chimp
I am after a CZ 452 and stuck on a few points.. I thought that the 2E-ZKM was the older model and made by Brno/CZ but I have been told today that this is wrong and some of the new ones have this mark on them.. Also I would like the Silhoutte model but seems like this is out of my budget a little...Do I settle for a "wood" stock instead or do you think I will be always thinking should have got the Silhoutte??? and last but not least...buy brand new or 2nd hand?? steve_b_wales
The varmint model is an excellent choice.
The Duncan
The varmint model is an excellent choice. I'm well-chuffed with my CZ 452 Varmint. Very accurate indeed and almost no recoil. Quite heavy compared to some but that does help keep it steady on aim. I've had mine a year and paid £320 for it at Northampton Gun Company. I've just bought a 10 shot mag for it which I have yet to try. CZ's are very well engineered, so should last well enough given a bit of basic care and maintenance. Does it have the ZKM bit on it as i thought these were the older models or I could be wrong
Colster
My Silhouette has 2E-ZKM stamped on the action but I guess you'll see that for yourself tomorrow. Give Philip Webster at Gt Ellingham a ring, his prices take some beating and he may have something second hand to offer. I don't think there is much difference in price between the wood and synthetic stocked guns when buying new, iirc the American is the most expensive on list price.
