FalconFN
I've just got some Fold Up Decoys and they seem to work petty well - in less than 1 hour over rape with 6 decoys I got 5 to land and shot 3 (with an air rifle), and there was only one flock of around 20-25 and the odd lone bird. But I still think they could be improved with better eye detail and whiter neck/wing bars and, here's the problem, I would like them a bit lighter in shade. has anyone done this? Would bleach solution work or leaving them out in the sun for a few days do the tick? Any suggestions or tips (other than getting shells again!) would be very welcome. Mightymariner
I don't think you can do anything with them because of the way they are made (I reckon you would ruin them by trying). I have some, and while they appear dark I still think they are very realistic.
humperdingle
I used a bottle of white UV paint to highlight the neck bars, wing flashes etc. I've used the same paint to highlight all my previous pigeon decoys, too... shells, full bodied, etc, and it seems to make them more noticable from a distance. spiceychilli57
I found that the eyes looked a bit dead so touched them up with a spot of matt black paint worked a treat White bars i didnt think were too bad but i thought that because of their size i might extend the metal peg to use in higher crops so that they can be seen and possibly to add springs to add movemnet to the pattern Spicer

humperdingle
Yeh, Fleabay for about £8. Only used a tiny amount compared to the size of the bottle though.
