basinator
hi all just a quick question as ive no idea on air guns.i will be going rabbit shooting on wednesday with my rifles(22 17hmr)and will be taking afriend along with me.There are usually some rabbits at a certain place that i normally wouldnt shoot with my rifles due to it being a little unsafe.so my friend has just told me he owns a pressure powered bsa tactical in .22 and wanted to know the sort of distance these rifles could kill a rabbit and would they need to be head shots,(as i always try anyway) thanks again in advance for any replies. lee Edited January 3, 2011 by basinator
HoTsHoT-10
I didn't know that bsa made an air rifle called a tactical 2. I would say the max range would be about 40yards if he can group well at this range.
lineshooter
Would that be an Ultra Tactical if so and he was a good shot then 30-35 yard shots would be feasable.

tsg
I have this gun myself BSA ULTRA .22 Multishot. They are very accurate. In HFT we shoot up to 45 yards. I have converted it to .177 though as the trajectory is flatter. It is down to his shooting. I recommend he tries the DEFIANT pellets. They group great in BSA barrels. hoTshoT-16
i would also sat about 40-45 yds depending on the level of skill from the shooter
