spider.20
hay chaps. in the last few months Bute estate has given the goahead to shoot foxes. to some this my seem normal but there have been no foxes on the island for many many years and some refused to belive it untill chickens were raded, sheep attaced and finaly one was hit by a car. now the only way a fox can get onto the island is an almost impossible swim across a small but verry fast flowing strech of sea, but why do this when there are huge hills and moore land on the side they would be coming from? the other way is to be put in someones car boot! many foxes have now been shot but still more apear. it is thought that the first was a pregnant vixen but they should still be young pups jus now. so...why go to the trouble of bringing foxes to an area where you know they will be shot? an amature atempt at introducing foxes? there was also a grey squirle found dead on the road. a squirle would never make the swim across so leads me to belive it was brought over intentionaly. an why a grey? anyone heard of an simalar goings on? spider
Piebob
Only heard of it on some of the islands, as you mention. Stoopid people........Probably some rescue centre or the RSPCA. People who, I'm sure, genuinely love animals but are too blinkered to see the potential damage they cause by tinkering with the balance of nature. It will always be difficult to find out who's responsible - they are not going to 'fess-up to an illegal act. Piebob

waddy
Place near me used to release foxes in the country park - thing is they were urban foxes ferried out of london and didn't have a clue, roamed onto the farm and got a bullet. After floating them back down the river to where they came from they soon stopped

A chap at work whose daughter had lost intrest in her rabbit released it onto the common....................... Hi, IDIOT MAN!!! :< It won't survive. Rabbits don't make fantastic pets because they bite and scratch. A mate of mine who used to have Rabbits swapped them for Guinea Pigs... and now comes Rabbit shooting with me.
