new to the flock Posted February 26, 2006 Report Share Posted February 26, 2006 This type of hunting horn has a tradition amongst the old time hunters who ran their hounds on coon and bear, and what ever else they could find. At the end of a hunt or if the hounds were running without locating any game the hunter would blow a series of notes to bring the hounds back to him. Each hunter had his own series and own horn.
