Hi,

I am currently using my Browning 525 32" barrel 12 bore for all my shooting, Clays, Pigeon, game etc. As you will understand this is a big old beast to carry around so the plan is to use my wife's Beretta 20g for game and sell my Browning. With the money I want to buy either a new of good quality semi auto and Air rifle (non FAC) any suggestions on the makes of these guns.

Budget will be about £1000 for both guns.

Thanks,

Hi,

As you know the choice you have is virtually endless, hence your post, your are limited only buy budget really.

If you are hunting then I suggest it has to be a .22 bolt action from the Cz range, I was shooting a Silhouette model with a synthetic stock on Saturday and was very impressed with its accuracy, shot on shot @ 25 yards. I have a Cz 550 in .308 and cannot fault the build quality of these guns.

Choice of air rifles is a little harder, do you want a spring powered or Pre charged weapon, do you want .177 or .22 the list is as long as your arm from Air arms to Weihrauch all as good as one another and some pretty decent used set ups in the for sale section.

With thre rimfire I would buy new as you get a full 3 years no quibble warranty on the Cz`s, dont forget to allow for a scope sling etc as well as charging gear if buying a Pcp.

Good Luck

He may do Tj I thought he had the use of his wife`s shotgun so was lookig at a rimfire, hey I migth be wrong.

That Air arms of yours would be a good buy for someone though, any chargeing gear with it.

seems not, i had it up in sales section, no takers!

no charging gear (apart from quick fill adaptor thing)

just comes with buffalo gunslip, scope and deben silencer(with rubber cover)

its ambidextrous stock, the newer model 'superlite'

lovely gun but i just dont have time to use it
