shawnclegg
Hi all!! I am after abit of advice! I am looking to spend about £250 on a new flashlight, I have been looking at the LED Lenser x21 but I am aware that there are much brighter lights out there! I need this amount of light to see the far end of our 6 acre family property. I will need a pretty good battery life as I will be out for long periods of time and dont want the light to die on me, any sugesstions would be great, Thanks!! steve_b_wales
Get yourself a Cluson Blaserlite. They are 2 million cp and are excellent. They are light, the filters are a reasonable price, and they are easy to convert to a scope mounted lamp, and vice versa. I use a 12V / 17amp battery, which lasts for hours. You can buy a battery from Cluson, but I always buy mine when I go to gamefairs etc. The whole set up should cost you less than £100. Steve. casts_by_fly
What sort of distance are you talking about seeing? I've got the 3D cell LED Maglite and it will light up reflectors at 300 yards and illuminate animals pretty clearly at 50. It is a far sight less expensive than £250. Thanks, Rick

Thanks, Rick Cheers for the reply, With regards to distance, Im after quite abit, about 500-600 meters, this does seem alot but my land is a narrow, long area, also I do alot of boating and the distance would come in handy for this also! Any help would be much appreciated, Shawn
Colster
As that's quite a bit further than most of us use a light for, I'd suggest posting on the candlepower forums. This is the sort of enquiry they absolutely love! Edited February 5, 2011 by Colster
