decoy1979
Could try denting the rest of the stock to match
Paul T
does this work well? Yes. I've used an old dishcloth or flannel. Dip it in water and lightly wring out so it's still soaking but not dripping. Place a corner on the dent and apply the hot iron. It'll sound like it's fizzing and bubbling. When this subsides (after about 15-20 secs) remove the iron. Repeat as necessary. It may take 5 or 6 attempts to bring out a large dent, but if the wood fibres are damaged/broken there's limited success. 100e
bought one of those cheap hand held steam guns from Aldi, this does the job quite well when lifting dents in wood.
Pheasant Feeder
I'd use a damp cloth as suggested but would use a hot knife as opposed to an iron, much more control of heat and less risk of damage.
