garyb
Popped into the local RFD earlier to get a few bits n bobs, when I noticed he had some "Birchwood Casey Brass Cleaner" solution for £6... Now.. I normally use the Vinegar / water / fairy liquid / baking soda mix (as per 6mmbr.com) to clean my brass, but after experimenting today with the BC Brass cleaner - I won't be using the mix from the kitchen cupboards any more! This stuff is the proverbial dogs dangly bits, and the cases are quite a bit cleaner both inside and out compared to my old way of doing things.... I put 2 cap fulls in about 250ml of warm water and did 20 .308 cases, but I don't see why it wouldn't do more http://sport.birchwoodcasey.com/Maintenance/MaintenanceDetails.aspx?ProductID=c9ad81f7-06ab-4a96-b3a2-7db074e4b510 Well worth a go

gsm1968
Don't know this cleaner, but be carefull. Some of the "miracale" cleaners are corrosive and will thin out the wall of the cartrige quite quickly.

"Brass Cartridge Case Cleaner is a safe, non-fuming, non-etching solution that won’t weaken cases. Reusable – store solution in a plastic or glass container (not metal) and use when needed." I put 2 cap fulls in about 250ml of warm water and did 20 .308 cases, but I don't see why it wouldn't do more I use half a level teaspoon of citric acid crystals in a beaker of water, then after a rinse in water I run them through with the BC case cleaner. The crystals were dirt cheap off the bay. The BC can be used again and again, but the citiric gets so much stuff off that it only does two lots before you can't see through it enough to stand the cases up. talking of which - i don't suppose you passed by an Aldi did you? Nick. I went in the one in Luton a week ago, and they still had a basket full. I can take a look tomorrow if you like, and I'll pick one up for you.
