gunshy
I recently brought myself a Theoben crusader in FAC and i would like to check that the power is at the level advertised.Does anyone in the North Dorset/South Somerset area have a cronograph that i could come and run my gun though. It would be Very much appriciated.
Dekers
I'm a bit far off but I'm sure most RFD your way will be able to chrono it for you. If all else fails the Combro CB625 is useful at about £40!
Clubshot
Be careful - a Shop RFD is not allowed to return any Air that that Exceeds Sub 12FP If not on License Holding a FAC Only covers the Guns listed on it They are duty Bound to advised and hand them over to local fire Arms Teams Failure can cost them a very large Fine and their RFD Best to get them Checked @ Clubs - as they will ask to to get it sorted before returning to their Ranges Most Air Gun Clubs do not allow FAC on Air Gun Ranges - Safety and FAC will damage knockover targets BOB/R
mrikirkby
I have a chrono but I am in norfolk so probably not much use for you but it's here if anyone wants to put a few shots through it ?
gunshy
Thanks for the replies people.I do have a FAC ticket for the gun so thats not a problem. The £40 crono sounds like a good option.
Pigeon Popper
Sorry for a stupid question, but is there a power limit that applies to FAC air rifles which are legally held on a Section 1? I know there's a practical limitation of around 60 ft/lb, I was just curious...

I dont think so, daystate have a air rifle that does 80ft 1b.I was considering that sort of power but i got a .17hmr instead. The crusader i've got should do about 20ft 1b which is just right for the woodland shooting i do. Daystate have issues with this power rating, I suspect they will deny it, but who the **** wants an 80ft lb air rifle anyway, just get a rimfire. Although aren't firearms incredibly hard to legally obtain in the UK?
Spanishfly
Get yourself a decent chronograph - well worth the small investment.
