This is my set up so far Just waiting for IR source and the black tube will be replaced with a machined piece of delrin to fit my scope and hold camera and screen as a complete unit. Field test failed miserably tonight with a white cree but I think I had the camera settings wrong as seems OK after a bit of a fiddle when I got home.

Looking good can't wait for the finished complete drop in !

Looks good evo i got mine kind of up an running just wailting for a piece delrin to turn up and then on dads lathe to machine it to fit on between scope and cam

Me and Dad (brown owl) had a few hours on some patchy rape to day.We wanted shoot a patch near some horse paddocks but tried to ring the bloke with the horses to check it was OK with him but couldn't get hold of him so we bagged that part of the field off and went up to the top end and tried there. 10 mins after setting up the horse bloke rings back and says yeah you should be OK if we stick to a certain part ! Anyway as we had set up we stuck it out for about an hour and half and got 2 birds. We could see them over near the horse paddock trying to get in there but obviously weary of the bags so we packed up and moved over to the horse paddock area. We got the hide up and 12 shells, rotary/hypaflaps and dads home made pecker/wandering thing out and got loaded. It wasn't long before I bagged the first 1 followed by a few more from both of us, well when dad turns his safety off !! Anyway we missed a shed load but managed 16 in the end, so some good sport and an enjoyable afternoon out with the ol'man !!

All my stuff is ordered Evo thanks for the help. Dave is hopefully going to sort the ir side of things when he's ready. As for camera I am trying something a bit different after reading a few threads on a another forum but will let you all know how I get on. Thanks again for sharing this info !!

Stopped and had a look at some rape fields that have been ruined by rabbits tonight on my way home from fishing and managed to bag 3 with my BSA Ultra that has just been regulated and a tune. Got to say it has transformed the gun and i am well happy with it ! Anyway when I got there it was rabbit city and they all scurried off, most in to the longer rape instead of the boroughs which I haven't seen before ? So I parked my **** in the hedge and waited for about 10 mins and out pops first rabbit ...job done. Walked further up the edge of the field and still they were running off in to the long rape so sat and waited again and 2 appeared from the longer rape so I had both of them as well, one of which was a cracking shot placed exactly between the eye and the base of the ear. Looking forward to getting my home made NV sorted now !!

Yeah its all ordered apart from camera as they were out of stock until tom so will ring them tom and wait for it to turn up !!! Oh and an ir drop in !

Thanks Bob that's cleared a few things up, still confusing though but I think I am getting there It seems the T 20 torches are popular over on the NVUK forum so I may go that route yet. I have gone basically the same NV set up as you which is obviously tried and tested. Big thanks to you and Dave for sharing all this ........addictive stuff !!!
