darren m
hi lads -- i,ve got this Baikal o/u , single trigger ejector , its a 27E-IC ( model ) can any one tell me what the fixed chokes are likely to be. its got the black action , with a small diamond-ish shape scroll on it. i,ve looked at the barrels , but cant see any where that identifies them . Are there any different marks on these guns for chokes sizes. thanks Darren .
milo_05
Well the model doesn't really give any clue but a LOT of baikals are choked tight like 1/2 and full or 3/4 full. Take it to a gunsmith and he should have a vernier guage that measures the constriction between barrel and choke to tell you the choke
darren m
yea i think i,ll pop over to the gunsmith , i,ve tried 2 choke gauges in it , but the prob is they both read different. Any one know what the IC stand for cheers

henry d
Get 2 paper refuse sacks and fire your chosen cartridge out of each barrel at 40 yds and check to see how many pellets(percentage wise)fit into a 30" circle, that will tell you better than any gauge.
