ollie
I had a couple of hours to spare on Saturday morning so decided I would go and shoot a few rabbits over the ferrets. Managed to bag 7 altogether, not a huge bag but had some very good bolts and I have a few bunny burgers to look forward to in the next couple of days. The Duncan
I bet that's exciting sport! I'd love to give it a go - doesn't it make your team deaf with a shotgun going off above them? Or are they still down the holes when you're shooting? V curious! Cheers Duncan

Cheers Duncan Its brilliant sport mate, some of the places I ferret are on the side of big glens and mountains so you can only imagine how fast the bunnies are going. When the rabbit bolts it is wise to let them clear the holes before shooting, they are usually well away from the ferrets and as you say quite often they are still down the hole. I guess you'd have to be pretty 'on the ball' with the gun, to say the least! Thanks for the insight Ollie Cheers Duncan

There were some of the holes we done that they weren't bolting right and I think's it's because it was doe rabbits with young; it was no coincidence that most of the rabbits we shot were bucks.
