bennyblanco
You need to say the most you are happy to pay as the answer is quite cash dependant A cobra merlin or second hand DM3K with a 90mw laser will do the business though. drwolly
I have used the cobram merlin for the last four years, and for up to 100 ish yard shots you cant go wrong for the price, my father bought a digital one last month and whilst it has a clearer image you cant get a feel for distance very well through it. Just make sure your scope has paralax adjustment
steve_b_wales
Cobra Merlin with day scope adaptor, plus extra eye relief. I have one on my .243, and have increassed the IR 'light' by using a scope mounted Blaserlite with IR filter. This allows me to see well over 200 yards. It has to be used with a parallax adjustable scope though. Steve.
dadioles
I have a dedicated Pulsar Sentinel G2+ with doubler giving me a little over 5x magnification on a .22LR and for head shots on rabbits the main limiting factor is the magnification. It is a super piece of kit, bright and clear but around £2000. Last week I bought an add-on for another .22LR so two of us can shoot at the same time (my rabbits are lamp shy) and really did not expect much of it compared to the dedicated unit but I was very pleasantly surprised at how good it was although you must use additional light with the add-on (I used a laser illuminator). The add-on was from Scott Country, Pulsar Challenger GS, and cost less than £300. I already had a laser illuminator (they can be expensive) but you really do need one, or something similar. I fitted it to a Hawk scope with paralax, best used at low mag. The Pulsar Challenger GS is really clear, edge to edge. The scope mount is simple and effective and you can take it on and off easily for day / night use with no change in zero. Go for it.
