ME
My F3 was intermittently not firing the bottom barrel, so it went into Leeches (Boreham) for a service. Leechy said that it wasnt the firing pins and that it was the cartridges. I duly swapped out my Eley Firsts with EE and Mung for Eley Modenas and it has worked fine till this morning. This morning it started doing it again with the Modenas. I had been having a good round till the "bottom barrel thing" started getting in my head. Anyway, what's the craic with getting a Blaser fixed nowadays ? Dare I call the new UK agent, take it to a gunsmith to fix or contact Blaser in Germany directly and just get some new pins sent over ? Hardwoods Green
It sounds as though your F3 might need the upgrades that are available. Some of the older guns suffered from this and on the latest guns it is all sorted. Speak to Robert at Open Season, he is very helpful. A mate of mine had a problem with I think a 3 year old gun, sent it back and they put all new bits in and serviced it and just charged for the service.Hope you get sorted
Cosd
I had a similar problem on a browning some te back. Obviously not sure you have the same issue but worth a quick check as it took 15 seconds to put right. Not sure what it's called but there was a lug on the bottom of the forend where it meets the action. This pushes two rods on the bottom of the action back when the gun is broken. On my gun this was loose which meant every now and again when I broke the gun it would not cock the spring on one of the hammers. I tightened a single screw inside the forend and that fixed my problem. I know it's a bit of a long shot that you have the same problem but worth aention just in case. Good luck either way. MC
Don't waste your time with Open Season, if you do ever get an answer from them it won't be the one you are after. Give Mulliner Guns in Dorset a ring, they will be able to help you out. Clicky Clicky Clicky Edited March 13, 2011 by MC
Evil Elvis
Id say a new spring/ and or pin is required, the carts were struck just not hard enough, my bottom barrel wont fire lyvale express or hull comp x. but will fire everything else, it Has had a hell of a lot of use in the last 2 years, with Dangerousdave and Anita using it quite a bit too. I was going to put mine in to browning and have the innlays changed at the same time but they said the turn around time could be...MONTHS!!! Mungler
It's a spring / pin issue. The cart is being struck and you can see a dent in the cart but it's just not giving it enough. I have found that Blaser give these guns quite a good warranty, it's just a case of getting it back to Blaser. I would suggest you take it to the boys at Essex Gun, they are plumbed into the whole Blaser network thing. Also drop Stumacher a pm he's just bought one and it needs stuff fixing and I know he was going to try and get it done as a sort of warranty return

Mungler
Did you wangle it under a warranty claim?
stumacher
No mate, just coughed up 200 notes for a full service , with free updates and a new trigger group with the later barrel selector. 4 hours job done.
BlaserF3
Rhone's fitted new pins for free, as per warranty, on mine if I wanted the upgrades I would have had to pay for these. In the USA upgrades are free, somethings not quite right over here
