shaggy
not very well i have had basc involved i am also putting a complaint in (which wakefield f/a have asked me to do!) it seems after my aplication sat on the chief inspectors desk for a month then he went on holliday then because "the inspector is new to this so taking advice" and because i have been turned down 10 yrs ago it had to go to the force soliciter who didnt want to make a mistake so sent it to a barister who had it another month! who then sent it back to force soliciter who sent it back to the chief you still with me? got a call last week off firearms when you filled your form in you answered yes to the question about have you ever had depresion etc we now have to apply to your doctor to see if this would affect your application i have told the truth and told them that i had spoken to the doctor regarding me being "down" due to money worries (this was a few years ago) so now im waiting for the doctor to reply to them they must have spent hundreds sending my forms to the barrister etc from what they have told me if you are refused it goes to the force soliciter as a matter of course i asked why they had waited nearly 7 months to contact the doctor and was told thats how its done! the upshot is im still waiting
markbivvy
Hi Shaggy.can you say what advice the basc have given you. sound like they could be building a case for refusal, or you could still be in with a chance.
shaggy
Hi Shaggy.can you say what advice the basc have given you.sound like they could be building a case for refusal, or you could still be in with a chance. wakefield say they are not trying to refuse me!?!?!? they are covering their ***** because there are certain procedures that must be followed when you have had a refusal court and appeal may be my only option but they will look really useless and stupid when it comes out that scotland yard broke the law and did not send me my dp1 in the month allowed under law they were 3 weeks late! then there is the fact that someone in wakefield "lost" my application for 6 weeks while it was sat on the inspectors desk that would be the inspector who has admited he does not know what he should do when people apply for the second time so we have scotland yard technically breaking the law the inspector not knowing the proper procedure to deny/grant s/c applications the force sollicitor not knowing what to do! the force barrister actually recomending a grant but the inspector still after that wanting to then check something they should have checked 7 months ago when they started all this! just how will all this look at an appeal my solicitor says i have a very good case as long as i have not lied on the form which i have not
shaggy
well! got a phone call from west yorks firearms today (after ringing and being told no one was in to answer my questions for 2 weeks!!!!) "hello mr **** im just ringing to tell you that you have a grant" me - "how much?" "what do you mean mr ****" "who are you please ? im not interested in any service you have to offer thanks" " oh no sorry its west yorks firearms mr ****" thinking oh **** what an a$$ i am "oh right i was told 2 hours ago i had to wait till someone who was handling my app came back from holiday" "oh yes well we have the doctors report about you seeing a phsyciatrist (sp) and it seems it was 8 years ago and it was for a needle phobia when you found out you had diabetes" "erm ok so its a grant then?" "yes" "and thats final" "yes" "so when can i expect my licence then?" "arh well , it may be next week or so" "why?" "well the inspector now has to write you a cover letter because of your previouse convictions and because you was turned down before" "oh ok then when will that be" "well he only calls in once a week so if you are lucky it may be this week" "oh ok then thank you" "ok bye mr ****" well nearly there im not celebrating until i actually get the licence in my hand and i have to say that had i not called 3 times a week for the past 3 months we would not be at this stage i started this aplication for a s/c licence on the 20/11/05 anyway watch out all vermin and all clays cos unless they change their minds im gonna blast ya

Nice to see you back. no i didn't funny that isn't it? i did get a letter though . . . saying he was in a mind not to grant due to my convictions 1982/ 1992 and that if i ever come to the attention of the police again he would revoke. . . is that the same as an apology anyway im still putting in a complaint and b a s c are helping me draft it so we will see where that leads and what bull they use to explain the problems
