utectok
Just come backfrom 4 days away working and visiting my daughter in London to find my cocker was out with the misses and jumped over two Walls and grabbed a pet chicken. Feathers everywhere and so the misses leaves a note in the door and speaks to the chicken owner the next day asumming worst possible scenario was the price of a new bantam. He is genuinely upset and say he will send the vets bill!!! Surely if its wounded u just wring it's neck!!! What next eh!! Good job we knew him a bit well he was the girls primary schools French teacher! Edited March 22, 2011 by utectok

Ferret Master
Had this happen to us. They got the bill, found their dog baler twined to their front gate and the police let them know in no un-certain terms that the dog would be shot if it was caught in the act again. WGD
Got to agree with FM, it doesn't matter whether it's a chicken, hamster or small donkey, and it doesn't matter what you would do with it if it was yours - your cocker's in the wrong, swallow hard, pay the bill and keep the dog under control - sounds like it knew exactly where it was headed for? Albion
If the chicken doesn't pull through, ask your neighbour round for a BBQ
