Billy.
I know there was a topic a while ago, but this was about reloads. I was out zeroing the 700 for the first time this evening and one of the factory 22-250 (Winnie 55grn) rounds wouldn't chamber. It didn't look any different on close inspection... The bolt went all the way forward and a tiny bit downwards, but that was it. Clearly I didn't force it, but it did put a little more pressure to see if it was just catching, but nothing happened. I only fired 8 rounds to get the zero and it was just the one round. Oddly, it was the round which was at the top of the three, on the only occasion that I filled the mag up to full capacity. Any thoughts?
Vince Green
Cover the round with marker pen then try to chamber it again. You should then see where it is sticking by marks on the case.
Redgum
Maybe a manufacturing defect, case the wrong size to fit chamber, take it back to were you purchased it from.
Tim Kelly
If the other rounds chambered OK after you took that one out, it must be a faulty round. Maybe the casing's a bit out of round?
