I'm not in the syndicate but I shoot most of the days next door, of the 22 I think you have 14 and they have 8. The turbines have totally knackered the shooting around them.

I can see them out the window as I type.

All the best

only asked as we have a guest called jef who shoots with us and lives close by swinton .we have been on the shoot for ten years so we shot here before they went up and hav'nt noticed any problems with them they knocked down the wood that was close to the turbine but they planted a new shelter belt on the farm and thats now showing promise of holding birds for our rough shoot. So how have they in your words knackered the shooting around them :hmm:

Just so you know I'm not anti-turbine. I'm not particularly for them either though.

We think they have spooked the birds too much. On two occasions I've seen someone duck thinking something was about to hit them on the head and all it's been is the shadow from the blades. There is a considerable noise from them also. One of the pen woods is only maybe 75-100 yards from a turbine. They don't put birds in that pen anymore.

i'am not a fan  of the wind turbines but we can't do much about it .they are noisey up close. the location by the very nature of the machine is on the uplands of the shoot so as we flight ducks at dusk and as you know when we get into end of nov onwards any ponds in the higher areas freeze over we set up for the ducks in the lower parts of the shoot on the burns and slack water so we don't have a problem with the blades throwing a shadow and the ducks ducking
