THE MEK
definitely a stoat, with that black tip. weasel is more slender, great little animals to watch if you know where they are, unless your rearing birds then they have to go!
Benellimelody
I was going to suggest it was a womble, but as the majority say stoat, I will agree with them
Dekers
That will be a Stoat, I am confident you will have to go to Scotland to find a Pine Martin, as far as I'm aware there are none in England or Wales. Same family just the same!

-kev-
Are we looking at the same picture because it looks pretty dead to me. It helps if you read the full sentance It looks pretty healthy to me saying that you said it had a bad leg and was full of ticks What i was trying to say was that it looked in good condition (well feed, good coat) saying that it had a bad leg. I doubt if he saw the ticks on its neck before he shot it. Dont see the point in shooting them to be honest, unless he has free range chickens of pheasants on the land. Even then there first choice food is rodents and rabbits.

Dekers
Came across a Mink today, under some decking on the banks of the Thames, cheeky ****** was inches from my hand and had the nerve to Hiss at me. Now, I don't get that involved with Mink generally, but I have never had one Hissing at me, never even thought about it before! Magwitch
Just remembered these photos i took at my place where a rat and stoat were having a good fight. Stoat was the winner and carried off the rat. Just shows what amazing creatures they are................................
