When is it too late to head out on the pigeons?

I was hoping to get out tonight but the wife was later home than normal so I'll go tomorrow.

 

I thought I'd head out for a nosey anyway but didn't get out 'till ~ 20:15 which is sun down

tonight but it was still light dusk.

 

There were quite a few birds about earlier but _no_ movement at all tonight, were they already settled

for the night?

on my permission over the last few weeks i have noticed that around 7-7.30 i have disturbed them from the tress where they are roosting and was the same again tonight but still managed to bag a crow

That is when i like to go, that way I get them when they fly out of the trees.

Only managed 2 tonight.

I sat in a ditch under some trees that a few pigeons like to roost in and baged 3, this was about 6.30.

6:30 is still quite early these days (sun down at 8:30 ish up here now).

 

 

Would you leave the house at 6:30?

yes they seem to roost quite early in the night

I would expect pigeons to still be decoying at 7-7.30pm.
