Dekers
Thats interesting Dekers, have to say a lot would suggest you're causing more wear to the rifles by cleaning than shooting them with that cleaning regime People still suggest the world is flat, and it takes 50 rounds to get a HMR to shoot straight after a clean! As many will probably have noticed historically I have no interest in running with the crowd and talk from experience, rather than what the masses, who read something somewhere may suggest! People are welcome to say whatever they like, my rifles shoot, (as several on this site will attest) I don't have to wear the barrel out or spend a fortune putting round after round down them to get them back on song after a clean! Like I say, you takes your choice. I've been cleaning barrels since I was teenager, allegedly precision target tools back then too, I've not damaged or worn out a barrel yet through cleaning and all my rifles barrels have lasted far longer than the general suggested lifespans of the various calibres! That's good enough for me! Cheers
Bewsher500
I think if anyone's cleaning regime is more aggressive than a lump of copper coated lead being forced up the barrel at 2000-4000fps with added heat........then they need to slow down a bit!! CharlieT
It must be Christmas............I agree completely with Deckers. Whilst I do not necessarily clean my rifles after each and every use I clean them properly as often as I can and expect them to be spot on with the first shot from a clean cold barrel. If they weren't they would soon be replaced by one that was.
