Main problem with lamping in the rain is with getting water on the scope lens.

It is not recommended to persistently clean a wet lens, as you may well end up with removing some of the coating on the lens - as this imparts many of the optical qualities of the scope.

Also, raindrops on the lens of a scope will affect the optics.

I have never had a problem but I will say this. You do get varying changes between permissions. The only way to truly answer your question is by getting out there and seeing for yourself.

In general I find that although there seems to be a decline in activity, tha rabbits tend to stay still more and keep the heads down. So although it may seem quiet, you'll find quite a few out there and possibly easier to stalk and hit.
